Six-month pharmacy internship (m/f/d)The Position

What to expect:

As a pharmacist intern, you will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive insight into the pharmaceutical industry in the daily work of technical global functions as part of the 6-month internship program for prospective pharmacists. You will gain insight into different areas of the Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing of pharmaceuticals including combo devices, global Manufacturing Science & Technology as well as Quality & Compliance with the focus on strategic E2E product lifecycle management. You will be based at the Roche Site in Mannheim.

Your tasks:

You will support the unit Global MSAT & Engineering which, among other things, takes care of the strategic and technical product lifecycle management from product launch until divestment. In doing so, you will take into account the work regulations in accordance with cGMP requirements. Together with a global team, you pursue the goal of ensuring the manufacturing of qualitative pharma products that comply with international health authority requirements. In addition, you will support the department in projects and attend interdisciplinary tours.

During the entire internship you will have a competent pharmacist at your side.

Your profile:

You have successfully passed the second section of the pharmaceutical examination (second state examination belongs to German licensing regulations) and can demonstrate good academic performance. International pharmaceutical students (pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences in the master’s degree studies, internship as an enrolled doctoral student or similar) are expressly welcome; however you must still be enrolled as a bachelor, master or PhD-student at a university. If you have already graduated - without further enrollment as a student, this internship is no longer possible.

In accordance with the (German) licensing regulations for pharmacists, you would now like to use half of your internship year to get to know the pharmaceutical industry better. In the case of other countries' examination regulations, we can try to adapt this internship accordingly in order to meet your university requirements. Ideally, you have already gained some practical experience in the industry.

You have good knowledge of MS Office programs and very good English skills. Knowledge of English with at least B2 level, written and spoken, is essential for this internship because the student will work in the international matrix.

You like technical authoring of English language documents and communication and coordination tasks. Due to working on a global level, most of the work takes place at the desk and in (digital) meetings.

You impress with your structured, solution-oriented and independent way of working as well as with your analytical way of thinking.

You are quick on the uptake, enjoy working in an international team and are committed and proactive.

Optional skills appreciated in the field of data/IT: ability to build a Chrome extension to support internal knowledge management workflows.

Your advantages:

Flexible time management

1958€ salary per month for a full-time internship > 3 months

Networking with other students (online/offline)

Start date: From May 2024 for a period of six months
Depending on the study regulations, other starting times/duration of the internship would also be conceivable, although the minimum duration should not be less than 4 months.
